Working at Tod Mountain Ranch is not an easy ride. The days can be long and the work can be physically demanding but you will be well rewarded with an opportunity to live and work in one of the most beautiful parts of the world whilst experiencing first hand the western ranch way of life. Perhaps the biggest reward is seeing the smiles on our guests faces and knowing that you played a key role in helping them realise their dreams.

Benefits of working at Tod Mountain Ranch
We provide on-site accommodation in our staff apartment. This is fully furnished and includes the following
- Own bedroom with private bathroom
- Shared lounge/dining/kitchen
- Full fitted & stocked kitchen so that employees can prepare their own meals on days off, if they choose
- Private deck
- Free Wireless internet
- Phone line (employees must pay for any long distance calls)
- Satellite TV
- Laundry facility (shared with guests)
- Use of all ranch facilities
- All bed linens and towels are provided
Our employees are encouraged to take their meals with the guests. We serve 3 meals a day, family style, with guests and employees sitting together at one large dining table. On your days off, you are not required to eat with the guests, although you are welcome to join us if you would like. The staff apartment has a full kitchen so you can prepare your own meals on your days off if you prefer.
We highly encourage staff members to bring a vehicle to the ranch so that you have the freedom to explore the area on your days off. If you do not have your own transport, we will of course be happy to pick you up from Kamloops airport, rail or bus station at the start of your employment and drop you back off at the end of your contract.
What we expect from you
We value all of our guests as individuals and we apply the same value to our employees too. Many of our guests are inspired by powerful images of Cowboys and the West and it is your job to help them fulfil their dreams. Your behaviour and the image you portray in your dress and appearance is part of that.
Your working hours will be as required to fulfil your duties and responsibilities. You will be entitled to one day off per week and efforts will be made to provide you with two days off where possible.
As an employee of Tod Mountain Ranch you will be expected to:
- behave in a polite, courteous manner at all times
- present a neat and clean appearance at all times
- maintain high standards of personal hygiene
- dress appropriately for the job role (Wranglers will be expected to wear blue jeans, western style shirts and cowboy boots; Chefs will be expected to wear chef whites when in the kitchen)
