We’re taking advantage of the early spring here in the Louis Creek Valley and preparations for the summer season are well underway. I’m very excited that it is only 6 weeks until the first guests of the 2010 season arrive. I can’t wait to welcome you to the ranch and share with you the stunning beauty of the valley and the surroundings mountains.
New Arrivals
Our herd continues to grow and this week we welcomed three new arrivals. Paddy is an 11 year old Bay gelding, Popcorn is a 9 year palomino and Shadow, who is also 9 is a grullo (black dun). They have all settled into the herd well and we’ll start introducing them to the trails in the next few days.
Spring Riding
May & June offer some great riding experiences at Tod Mountain Ranch. In May, everything is starting to come alive again and we will be exploring some new trails. In June, the weather starts to warm up and the valley becomes lush and green. May & June are also the best months for spotting wildlife before the heat of the summer drives them further up the mountain.
