Booking Policies

All rates are in Canadian dollars and include the following:

• Personal horse allocated for duration of stay
• Up to 8 hours of horse activity each day including grooming, tacking up, care of horses after rides and all horseback riding.
• Riding and horsemanship instruction
• Cabin accommodation with private bathrooms
• Daily housekeeping service
• Wholesome, home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day
• Unlimited non-alcoholic drinks and snacks throughout the duration of stay
• Use of all ranch facilities
• Laundry facilities for guest own use
• Wi-Fi internet access
• Transfers to/from Kamloops at start and end of stay if required (conditions apply)

Check-in/Check-out: Check-in between 4pm and 6pm; checkout by 10am.  For 24hr packages, check-in from 12pm and checkout     by 1pm

Taxes: Sales taxes (HST) of 12% will be added to your final invoice.

Gratuities are at your discretion. We do not include gratuities or service charges in our rates, nor are they mandatory. If you believe you have received excellent service from our team, then please feel free to reward them as you feel appropriate.

50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Deposit payment must be received within 14 days of booking or the booking may be released. Payment may be made by Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, bank draft or wire transfer.

The balance of payment is due on departure from the ranch. Payment may be made by Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, bank draft, Cash or Travelers Cheques in Canadian Dollars. There will be no credits made for early departure or non-participation in the package booked.

Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to date of arrival will receive a refund of the deposit less $100 admin and processing fee. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made 60 days or less prior to date of arrival. We will however transfer the deposit to alternative dates in the same year, subject to availability.

Children: Children are welcome at the ranch, however please note that we do not operate a childrens’ programme or employ child counsellors. Children aged under 8 years of age will not be able to take part in horseback trail rides.

We have now teamed up with PLAY SAFE CHILD CARE, a professional child-minding and children’s entertainment company that provides custom child minding focused on safety and entertainment. The team at Play Safe Child Care can provide quality care for your children on the ranch, whilst you are out on the trail. Advance bookings are required and you can make these direct with Play Safe Child Care, or we can make the arrangements on your behalf. Check out their website for further information and rates.

Pets: We are unable to accommodate guests own horses or accept  guests’ pets at the ranch. There is an excellent boarding kennel close to the ranch for boarding cats and dogs.

Smoking: We offer a non-smoking environment and smoking is not permitted in the lodge or cabins. Smoking is not permitted around the horses, in the corrals, at the barn, whilst on the horses or out on the trails. Smoking is permitted on decks and porches at the lodge and cabins.

Horseback riding is a risk sport. Guests accept any risks involved in the participation of all activities and will not hold Tod Mountain Ranch responsible for injury or loss suffered whilst a guest at the ranch. Guests will be required to sign a waiver releasing Tod Mountain Ranch from liability.

We recommend that guests take out travel insurance that covers you and your valuables. We recommend this includes cover for cancellation and/or curtailment of your trip and that it covers horseback riding activities.

The ranch reserves the right to limit the availability of horseback riding due to anything which may in our opinion jeopardise the health or safety of horse or rider.

Book the Ranch for Exclusive Use

For groups, family gatherings or executive retreats, you are welcome to book the ranch for your exclusive use.

You will have full use of the lodge and all cabins. Four of our cabins have 1 queen bed, and the other four have 2 full size beds.
