We had a fantastic couple of nights in the fresh, cool autumn air, catching up with old friends and eating beautiful food. It was great to see Sean on Billy as he hasn’t ridden since he was 7! Steve and Kendra offered excellent tips for our ride and made the experience easy-going and super fun with their laid back and humourous approach. We’d love to come back here again. Thank you for a great couple of days.

Thank you to all the staff at Tod Mountain Ranch. We had a great time here. The facilities are lovely – a great view from a comfy couch in the lounge was a welcome reward for managing to pull ourselves out of the wonderful bed. Mmm… feathers. First time in a while I didn’t miss my own pillow! Thank you to Silas for each delicious meal and the unreal chocolate chip cookies. Alex didn’t manage to get his hands on one before we left and they alone are reason to come back! And thank you to Kendra. First and foremost, she’s a fantastic horsewoman. She made us feel comfortable around Hammer and Joker but was clear that the horses must be respected and offered great instruction on how to make sure they were. A wrangler first, but a friend second! She was so lovely and easy to take to on the ride. I felt like I’d known her for years – and experience I’d never had on the trail before. Good luck with everything Kendra! Tracey, you are a gracious host who gets it right in the details! Plus your warm smile made us feel right at home. Thanks again for a tremendous experience…..

Wow! What a lovely birthday gift for Gayane. It’s her birthday today. Thank you all so much for a fantastic weekend. It started out a bit rough with some car trouble and a late-night check-in and progressively got better until it became the great creature it became. The food was as AMAZING as the trail riding. Thank you Silas! Kendra & Steve, first rate job – I can now comfortably admit that even though I did fill Kendra’s boots, I would never fill her saddle! Keep loping Steve, next time we come up Gayane will be trotting ahead of the pack. Tracey, it’s hard to imagine that I would be able to find the words in a few moments that could convey the atmosphere that you’ve successfully constructed here for all your guests. Thanks soo much for your unbridled (sorry, couldn’t help it) hospitality!

Great two days here at Tod Mountain in the middle of our two week break touring the Rockies. We will certainly recommed this ranch to our tour operator when we get back home. You are a great friendly team, we felt most welcome. Compliments to the chef, delicious meals, the riding wasn’t bad either.

I’ve had a marvelous time here at the ranch. I loved waking up in the morning to such a fantastic view. And all the horses are wonderful characters. I will miss Chip & Jack so much. What an amazing time here at the ranch. Where to begin? The hospitality was top notch! The staff so friendly and fun, the food was so amazing and last but not least…. the horses. you can tell how well they are cared for, loved and respected. Thank you for a wonderful weekend experience. We felt totally welcome and at home – as if we were visiting family (that wouldn’t let us help them in the kitchen or with chores). We especially liked the ‘ranch style’ atmosphere of dining all together and spending the evenings getting to know each other. By the end ofthe weekend I felt comfortable and even ‘experienced’ at riding (after the blood returned to my left hand from holding on so tight for dear life on the first ride!). I loved spending time with Red after the ride as he nudged me over and over for another neck scratching. What a beautiful and gentle creature!! You have a fantastic place, so glad we could experience it!

A big thanks to Tracey, Steve & Kendra and all the horses, especially Red & Jack. this was an amazing weekend that exceeded expectations. The rooms and food were great and everyone was very friendly. The weather even cleared up for the ride. We will definitely be giving Tod Mountain Ranch positive reviews in Victoria. We won’t ever forget the little hidden piece of of the world that you guys have here. The only complaint I would have was that no one helped me from preventing Denise from trying to take home a kitten! It was wonderful meeting you all and we had so much fun, even with the guests. we won’t forget this fantastic weekend.

Although it was our first experience on horses, we had a lot of fun. It was a wonderful Wednesday. Everybody looked like a professional on the ride. Steve was a funny guy, always sang songs when we were riding up to the mountain. Obviously after a whole day practising, our legs got a little bit sore. Then we went exploring on several hills. Xie Li’s Jeep was much more efficient and powerful than Terry’s truck. Anyways, its been great. Thanks Tracey, Kendra, Steve and the Chef. really enjoyed!, We’ll see you guys again!
